P had her first vacation that she will remember. We went to the Hill Country Resort by San Antonio with Grammie, Pa Pa, Aunt Rinda, Baylie and Kristin. You had a blast. You got to swim, play mini golf for the first time ever, went to Sea World, spend the night with your cousins. Mini golf went about how we expected. You did try, you wanted to learn how to do it right, but you just weren't very good. You ended up picking up your hot pink ball and tossing it in the hole, ready to go on to the next hole. We lasted for 11 holes when your Aunt Rinda called and said they were back from Fiesta Texas. We were ready to head out. Sea World was a huge hit. We went on Monday because we were hoping that it would be less crowded. We got our wish. We arrived at 10:30 am, parked on the front row and went right on it. We did not have to fight any crowds, yea!!!!!! We saw the Clydesdale Horses, we saw sharks, sting rays, jelly fish, penguins, fish., it was incredible. The shows were awesome. You loved Shamu, the dolphins, and the sea lions. Watching you was the most fun, you had a huge smile on your face. You wanted to touch the dolphins sooo bad, but when they got close you chickened out. You were a little afraid they would bite you. You desperately want to be brave, but when the time comes you get too scared. Perhaps next time you will give it a try. You did ride your first roller coaster! It was the mini Shamu coaster in kid town. You screamed the entire time. But you rode it three times, once with me, then with Kristin, then with Baylie. Your mouth was open the entire time! You were great at Sea World, you had a blast, you wanted to go back the next day! Today you are playing with your BIG Shamu and dolphin stuffed animals reenacting their splashes in the water. You are a joy to watch! I am glad you had a wonderful vacation with wonderful memories!
Big Events in the world:
Barack Obama has enough delegates to be named the Democratic Nominee for President. It is a historic day. He is the first African American ever to win their party's nomination. Whoever won, him or Hilary Clinton, would have made history. Hilary would have been the first woman. Things in this world are changing. One day y'all will wonder why this was such a big deal, for that I am grateful. I hope you both know that you can acheive any thing you set your mind to!
Other news, the price of gas is outrageous, more than $4.00 a gallon. It now costs nearly$90 to fill my tank up. Gas is making just about EVERYTHING else cost more: food, clothes, you name it! We are all wondering how high it will go.
