Presley had her first soccer game Saturday. She had a hard first game. It began with getting hit in the face by the ball which resulted in crying. Mom was not much help because Little Bit was friends with no one but mom. (Not sure if it was because 1. I had to take her to the dr on Friday because she was more grumpy than normal. The result was a slight sinus infection and a new antibiotic. That would be $75 in dr and prescriptions bills just for this week if you are keeping track. We are. 2. She did not go to sleep until after 10pm or 3. There were tons of people at the games and it was a bit overwhelming. She did try to go on the field to see her Dad at one point and had to be taken off by her cousin Baylie. Overall she was no happy camper!) So Dad had to console Presley for a bit and then Aunt Rinda held Presley until she was ready to get back on the field. Presley did cry again in the first half and had to go off the field. Not sure why the crying happened,(perhaps going to sleep after 10pm was a factor) but I know Brad was trying very hard to be patient and not get frustrated with her. He told me I would need to talk to her for him! But for the most part Presley ran hard and touched the ball several times. Getting in the middle of the big clump of kids after getting hit in the face was not something Presley wanted to do, so she ran around the pack most of the time. But to her defense the other team was all kindergarteners and much bigger and appeared to have played for at least one season. We got schooled. Zero goals for our team. Brad said we are going to be everyone's homecoming! But overall I think she had fun. She improved as the game progessed. We were very proud of her!
